UK PM: Situation in Afghanistan stabilizes

"The situation in Afghanistan has stabilized since the weekend, but it remains precarious, and the UK officials on the ground are doing everything they can to expedite the movement of people," the UK PM Boris Johnson said at parliament.
"At the moment, it would be fair to say that the Taliban are allowing that evacuation to go ahead," he said.
The PM says the aim is to complete the evacuation "as expeditiously as we can."
