The rate of inflation has hit a fresh 40-year high, placing further pressure on UK households as the cost of living crisis mounts.
Report informs, citing foreign media, that UK inflation jumped to 9.4% in the 12 months to June from 9.1% in May, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.
The increase in inflationary pressure in Great Britain is mainly associated with the increase in the prices of food products and energy carriers.
