An employee of Almaty TV channel was killed in Almaty city, Kazakhstan, Report informs, citing foreign media.
It is noted that a camera crew came under fire in the area of the president’s residence. The driver was killed, a journalist was injured, he was hospitalized.
Protests in Kazakhstan started on January 2, following a two-fold increase in liquefied gas prices. The authorities set up a governmental commission, promising to cut prices.
