Turkmen leader offers treatment for COVID-19

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that licorice root should be used to treat a novel coronavirus infection.

According to Report, the country's leader made this offer at a government meeting.

Berdimuhamedov noted that he gave information about the positive qualities of licorice root in the first volume of the book "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan."

"Scientists state that the active ingredient in licorice - glycyrrhizic acid - prevents the spread of the pandemic. Even a small amount of licorice has a good effect on the eradication of this infection.
