Türkiye, UAE plan to sign package of cooperation agreements

Türkiye and the UAE are planning to sign a package of agreements on cooperation in energy, transport and the military-industrial complex.

Report informs citing TASS that the agreements will be signed during Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Dubai, which is expected after Eid Al-Adha.

The package of agreements provides for cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources, transport (seaports, airports, infrastructure), financing of work to restore the regions of southeast Türkiye affected by devastating earthquakes in February. A separate item is the project of cooperation in the military-industrial sphere: this is not only about the sale of Bayraktar drones to the UAE, but also about their partial joint production. It is noted that the UAE investments in Türkiye will be direct and long-term.

The Turkish delegation discussed preparations for the visit last week in the UAE. The negotiations laid the foundation for investments in Türkiye in the amount of $30-40 billion, concrete steps to implement these plans will be taken during Erdogan's visit, according to Hurriyet.
