Turkiye to mediate in negotiations on Azovstal

Turkiye has agreed to mediate in the negotiations on the evacuation of militants – primarily the seriously wounded – from the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk said, Report informs.
According to her, Ukraine has given the mandate to conduct negotiations on the evacuation to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the UN.
"We want a document to be signed on how exactly the militants will be evacuated from Azovstal," Vereshchuk said. "First of all, we are talking about evacuation of the seriously wounded, and Turkiye is ready to become a mediator in these negotiations."
