Türkiye supports Mark Rutte's candidacy for post of NATO Secretary General

Türkiye supports the candidacy of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte for the post of NATO Secretary General, Report informs with reference to the Anadolu Agency.

According to information, Ankara informed the member countries of the Alliance about the decision.

M. Rutte visited Istanbul last week, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked for his support. They had a one-on-one meeting on April 26.
