Türkiye and Iraq strengthen cooperation in the military field, Zeki Akturk, the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye, said at the weekly briefing, Report informs.
The spokesperson noted that Türkiye continues to contribute to regional and international peace and stability. "Within the framework of our president's visit to Iraq, a contract on cooperation in military education and a protocol on education and cooperation in the field of military health were signed. Thus, we believe that cooperation in the military field will become stronger."
It was also noted that Ankara welcomes Baghdad's recognition of the PKK as an illegal organization: "We expect that Iraq will recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization."
