Türkiye has called on Israel and Iran to refrain from steps that could lead to a wider conflict, the country's Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to Report.
"In light of the latest developments, it is becoming increasingly evident that the tensions that were initially caused by Israel's illegal attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus risk turning into a permanent conflict. We are closely monitoring the events," the ministry said.
It also noted that the international community's priority should be to end the conflict in Gaza and ensure lasting peace through the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
