Sweden and Finland have not responded positively to Turkiye's requests for the extradition of persons with connections to terrorism, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag told reporters, Report informs.
"We have not received a positive response to our extradition requests," he said.
He added that Turkiye has renewed its requests and reminded the Nordic countries of its demands again.
The Turkish Government has previously stated that the memorandum signed with Sweden and Finland within the framework of the June NATO summit is not final, and the Turkish Parliament may not approve it if Stockholm and Helsinki do not fulfill their obligations to fight against terrorist organizations.
On June 28, the foreign ministers of Turkey, Sweden and Finland signed a memorandum removing the obstacles to the Nordic countries' admission to NATO. The document envisages establishing cooperation with Ankara in the fight against terrorism, including the PKK, which Turkiye considers a terrorist organization, and its affiliates, as well as the FETÖ organization, which Ankara accuses of participating in the 2016 coup attempt.
