Toivo Klaar, the former European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus, has been appointed as the new EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said on X, according to Report.
"Welcomed the newly appointed EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan H.E.Toivo Klaar and received copies of his credentials. The Government of Uzbekistan is committed to contributing closer ties between Central Asia and the European Union with tangible outcomes," the post reads.
