Three dead, four injured in Russian shelling of Ukraine's Kostiantynivka

Russian troops shelled the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region of Ukraine, with Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), killing three civilians and injuring four others, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office said on Facebook, Report informs via Ukrinform.

“On August 20, 2025, occupying forces shelled Kostiantynivka. As a result of the attack, two women aged 40 and 69 and a 32-year-old man died from injuries incompatible with life. Four other civilians sustained blast and shrapnel wounds and received qualified medical assistance,” the statement reads.

The Prosecutor’s Office noted that the rockets struck residential areas and the local market. The attack damaged private homes, apartment buildings, vehicles, commercial establishments, and a power line.
