Thousands being evacuated due to wildfires in California

Some 6,000 people are being evacuated due to fierce forest fires in the US state of California, Report informs via Associated Press.
The source of the fire is located near Yosemite National Park, one of the most visited natural parks in the United States. As a result of the fire, more than two thousand houses and establishments in the vicinity were left without electricity.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the area covered by the fire has reached 40 square kilometers.
More than 400 people, aviation and heavy equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
