A tent camp for refugees from Ukraine, whose number in the Czech Republic is on the rise, will be created in Prague on Wednesday, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Interior Minister Vít Rakušan, Report informs, citing TASS.
Currently, the refugees are in the halls and corridors of the main station in Prague. Since the building is not intended for human habitation, it was decided to build a tent camp. Authorities do not specify where exactly the campus will locate, Mlada fronta DNES notes.
Since February 24, the Czech authorities have issued 337,151 special visas to refugees from Ukraine. This document helps obtain temporary asylum in the republic. Children constitute half of the total number of refugees in the country, and women are responsible for the four-fifths of the adults who left Ukraine.
