Tbilisi City Hall begins procedure for terminating agreement with Russian Metrovagonmash

The Tbilisi City Hall has begun the process of terminating the agreement with the Russian Metrovagonmash, which was supposed to supply wagons to the Tbilisi Metro, due to international sanctions, Report informs citing TASS.
"On May 19, 2023, our international partners imposed sanctions against this company. As you know, Georgia is implementing international financial sanctions. Accordingly, the Tbilisi Municipality is not going to cooperate with the sanctioned company and will cancel the agreement drawn up with Metrovagonmash," the statement says.
