Tajikistan is set to introduce a new measure that will see citizens who seek the services of fortune-tellers and psychics being added to a police database.
According to Report, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Tajikistan has announced that it is tightening measures against fraudsters posing as psychics, fortune-tellers, healers, and medical practitioners
According to the MIA, over the past month alone, 150 cases of fraud have been detected. In response to this growing problem, the ministry has decided to take a unique approach to curb the activities of these fraudulent individuals.
"All citizens who turn to psychics and fortune-tellers will be invited to police departments, where materials with photographs of these clients will be compiled and placed in the MIA database," the ministry stated in a press release.
