Taiwan detects 19 Chinese aircraft near island

Taiwan's Ministry of Defense said on Thursday that it detected 19 military aircraft belonging to the People's Liberation Army and seven vessels of the People's Liberation Army Navy of the People's Republic of China near the island, Report informs via Baha Breaking News.

According to the ministry, 12 of the total aircraft detected crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered the island's northern, southwestern, and eastern air defense identification zone (ADIZ) in the past 24 hours.

The ministry employed combat air patrol (CAP) aircraft, Navy vessels, and coastal missile systems in response to the detected activities.
