Szijjártó confirms death of Hungarian citizen held hostage by Hamas

A Hungarian citizen who was being held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip was found dead, said the Foreign Minister of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, after a telephone conversation with the Strategic Affairs Minister of Israel, Ron Dermer, Report informs.
“Unfortunately, Ron Dermer confirmed the sad news that appeared in the media that the body of a hostage with dual Israeli-Hungarian citizenship was found,” Peter Szijjártó wrote on his Facebook page. Szijjártó did not specify what this man’s name was and under what circumstances he died.
At the same time, he noted that another person with Hungarian citizenship remains held hostage by Hamas, and the Government of Hungary continues to make efforts to free him.
