Syrian women's rights activists demand women's participation in forming new government in Syria

Syrian women's rights activists and advocates are calling on the new authorities in Syria to ensure women's participation in government formation.

Report informs via Anadolu that this call was particularly made by the Syrian Women's Political Movement (SWPM), which organized an event in Damascus.

Event participants emphasized its importance in terms of ensuring principles of freedom and equality.

SWPM representative Dua Mohammed stated that forming a new democratic government in Syria without active women's participation is impossible. According to her, women can play a significant role in political changes.

Mohammed noted that they should have a voice at every stage of forming the new government and actively participate in decision-making processes.
