Switzerland okays supply of parts for military equipment to Ukraine

The Swiss authorities allowed the supply of spare parts for military equipment purchased from Switzerland to Ukraine by European countries, saying this type of re-export does not violate the country's neutrality.

Report informs citing RBC-Ukraine that, according to the Federal Council of Switzerland, Bern allows the sale of such products to Germany and Italy.

The government examined two requests to export "parts and components by Swiss companies to arms companies in Germany and Italy." In the first case, we are talking about the components of anti-tank launchers, in the second, it is about the air defense systems.

According to the previous information, Switzerland allowed Germany to transfer Leopard battle tanks to Ukraine. Today, 42 such machines are stored in German warehouses.

At the same time, the Swiss government rejected a request from Denmark to send more than two dozen armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
