The Swedish government is allocating a new 3.4 billion crowns ($314 million) military aid package to Ukraine, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom Paul Johnson said at a press conference, Report informs referring to TASS.
“Ukrainians have reported that they are in dire need of new support packages, primarily ammunition and spare parts,” he said. “This is ammunition for previously delivered Swedish equipment, primarily for the CV 90 infantry fighting vehicle. These are also spare parts for the CV 90 tank [Strv] 122 and Archer artillery guns. The total cost of the package is approximately SEK 3.4 billion.”
Since February 2022, Sweden has allocated 22 billion crowns ($2.16 billion) of support to Ukraine, of which 17 billion crowns ($1.67 billion) is military aid.
