Special group created in Switzerland to monitor anti-Russian sanctions

Swiss authorities have created a special group tasked with monitoring violations of restrictions on the Russian Federation and Belarus, said Fabian Maienfisch, the official representative of the State Secretariat for the National Economy (SECO), Report informs, citing TASS.
“To strengthen compliance with financial sanctions, SECO decided to create a specialized ‘investigation and enforcement’ unit,” he said.
According to Maienfisch, the group engaged in complex administrative criminal proceedings in connection with the implementation of economic restrictions and their enforcement. He stated that SECO had received more than 200 “suspicious case” reports.
