Speaker of Russian Federation Council in Beijing meets president of China

Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko is holding talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping during a Russian parliamentary delegation's visit to Beijing, Report informs referring to the Russian media.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.

Earlier, at a meeting with Leji, Matvienko noted that the invitation of the delegation of the Russian parliament to China speaks of the mood to intensify Russian-Chinese cooperation.
