Spanish parliament approves plan on gas saving

The Spanish parliament has supported the plan prepared by the government to save gas, Report informs citing the EFE agency.

In line with this plan, Spain should reduce fuel consumption in accordance with the recommendations of the EU. In this case, the kingdom will be able to avoid the shortage of this energy resource in the coming winter period.

Private companies and public institutions will not cool the premises below 27 degrees Celsius in summer, while in winter the temperature of the space in buildings will be fixed at a maximum of 19 degrees. In addition, organizations were ordered to turn off the lighting of shop windows and empty buildings from 22:00 all night.

Together, these measures will allow Spain to reduce gas consumption by 7 percent.
