Spain, Ireland intend to recognize Palestine, Borrell says

The authorities of Spain and Ireland intend to recognize a Palestinian state on May 21, EU diplomacy head Josep Borrell said on Spanish radio.
According to Report, he added that other EU countries could also take such a step. In particular, he mentioned Belgium and Slovenia.
Borrell said this signals readiness to work to ensure that such a state exists in practice.
