Serbia, US to hold strategic dialogue

A strategic dialogue will be held between Serbia and the United States, Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić said, according to Report's Balkan bureau.

Đurić announced that a decision was made today in Washington to launch the dialogue, with the first meeting scheduled for July 17.

The minister emphasized that, for the first time in history, Serbia and the US are elevating their relations to the level of strategic partnership: "This means that the United States and President Donald Trump's administration are sending a strong message not only to Serbia, our government, and our people, but also to American institutions – that Serbia is recognized as a partner and friend. This is one of Serbia's most significant achievements, as we have been working toward this for many years."
