Scholz: Germany to approve new package of military aid to Ukraine

Germany is providing Ukraine with a new package of military aid worth 1.1 billion euros. It includes howitzers, anti-aircraft guns and missiles for air defense systems, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said at a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.
“Today we are preparing a new aid package - 1.1 billion euros. These are 36 armored wheeled howitzers from industrial stocks, 120,000 units of ammunition, two Skynex systems and missiles for IRIS-T,” Scholz noted.
He also said that Germany will allocate 1.7 billion euros to Ukraine this year and 6 billion euros in subsequent years.
