European sanctions against Russia have virtually stopped the sea export of coal from this country, according to Bloomberg, Report informs citing RBC-Ukraine.
The largest company in Russia for the extraction of thermal coal, Suek JSC, has not been able to ship products since mid-August.
In addition, the insurance and reinsurance market is dominated by companies from the EU, the UK and Switzerland, and the imposed sanctions make it difficult for shipowners to find insurers.
