Russian ambassador in Warsaw summoned to Polish MFA

Russian Ambassador to Warsaw Sergey Andreyev was summoned to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Russia said, Report informs via TASS.
The diplomat received Poland's protest about the "referendums" held in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
US Senator Marco Rubio earlier warned that the Russian army would attack an airport in Poland.
According to CNN, Russian President Vladimir Putin may order an attack on several countries that provide military aid to Ukraine, including Poland.
The US senator noted that the possibility of an attack on the territory of a NATO country, for example, an airport in Poland, worries him more than the possibility of a nuclear strike.
Rubio said he could not imagine the possibility of Putin winning the war against Ukraine.
Russia organized "referendums" in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts of Ukraine from September 23 to 27. On October 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Russia's annexation of these territories.
