Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreev was attacked on Monday as he was trying to lay flowers at the military memorial cemetery of Soviet soldiers on Žvirki and Wigura Street in Warsaw, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.
Report informs that the Russian ambassador, his wife, and a group of diplomats who accompanied him were doused with red paint and were not allowed to approach the memorial. The police, who arrived at the scene a few minutes later, surrounded the diplomats and helped them to the car.
