Russia’s Patrushev, Israeli National Security Council head mull aggravation in Middle East

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev has discussed the aggravation in the Middle East by telephone with Chairman of the Israeli National Security Council Tzachi Hanegbi, Report informs referring to TASS.

“In the context of the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, Patrushev noted the need for all parties to show restraint in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict. It was emphasized that Russia stands for resolving disagreements exclusively by political and diplomatic means,” reads the message.

The Israel Defense Forces indicated that they intercepted 99% of about 300 Iranian shells, and minor damage was caused to the Nevatim airbase.
