Romano Prodi: Veto power in UN SC would be beneficial for EU

It would be beneficial for the European Union (EU) to gain access to France's nuclear arsenal and Paris's veto power in the UN Security Council to increase its global influence, former European Commission president Romano Prodi said at the Verona Eurasia Economic Forum held in Ras al-Khaimah, the UAE, Report informs, via Interfax.

According to Prodi, it is difficult for the EU to play a significant role in the world because Germany faces economic difficulties while France faces political challenges.
