Romanian Health Minister Vlad Voiculescu was fined $360 for not wearing a medical mask indoors, the Bucharest police said, Report informs, citing Mediafax.
"The General Directorate of Police of Bucharest informs that a member of the government was fined 1,500 lei ($ 360 - ed.) for non-compliance with the law on preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, namely for the absence of a protective mask. Minister of Health Vlad Voiculescu was fined," the message reads.
Photos of Vlad Voiculescu, taken on Monday in the parliament building, appeared on Romania's social networks. He walked the corridors without a mask, although wearing it is mandatory in all enclosed spaces.
