Romania offers Türkiye joint production of Bayraktar UAVs

Romania has invited Türkiye to cooperate in the production of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Turkish ambassador to Romania Ozgur Kivanc Altan told Anadolu Agency, Report informs.
"In 2023, Romania bought 18 of our Bayraktar TB2 combat UAVs. Their deliveries will continue this year and in the following years. Romania has an application for co-production of these products," he noted.
According to the diplomat, there are several pending tenders in the defense industry, and cooperation with Romanian companies is very important for Turkish companies.
The ambassador also noted that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will arrive in Bucharest on Wednesday. These issues are expected to be on the agenda of his visit.
