Rep of Party for Liberation of Martinique: EU - conglomerate of colonial countries

“The EU is a conglomerate of colonial countries, so seeking support from the EU to solve our problem is pointless,” representative of Le Parti pour la libération de la Martinique (the Party for the Liberation of Martinique, PALIMA), Luc Francis Carole told a press conference, Report informs.

He noted that all European countries that carried out colonial policies in the past, including the UK, Portugal, etc., gather only to solve their problems; they are not interested in the problems of countries that are infringed on their rights.

The international conference "Neo-colonialism: violation of human rights and injustice", organized by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), opens in Baku tomorrow.

Representatives from 14 countries, as well as the overseas territories of France and Corsica, will take part in the event.

The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) was created on July 6, 2023, in Baku by participants in the conference "Complete Elimination of Colonialism" within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement presided by Azerbaijan.

BIG supports the struggle for freedom of peoples located in various parts of the world still suffering from colonization in the 21st century.
