The first batch of fuel provided by Qatar arrived at the Port of Beirut Sunday, the Qatar Fund announced in a statement Sunday noting that this is part of the "$15 million donation to the Lebanese Army announced in September 2024," Report informs via L'Orient Today.

"This donation reaffirms Qatar's steadfast support for the brotherly Lebanese people, standing by them in their difficult circumstances," the statement explained.

On Monday, a Qatari aircraft arrived in Beirut carrying food, medical and relief aid to support Lebanese people.

In October, two Qatari military planes carrying aid and medical supplies arrived at Beirut airport. This comes in light of the intensifying conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. Since September 23, the death toll from ongoing war has surged to 2,448, with 1.34 million people displaced.
