Employees of France's public transport system are continuing to strike, through New Year is coming, Report informs citing Interfax.

In particular, disruptions affected high-speed TGV trains, only 60% of which run their routes. Moreover, several lines of the Paris metros stopped working. Transport intermittently operates in the suburbs of the capital of France.

However, French Transport Minister Élisabeth Borne noted that she sees signs of a gradual return to normal, as in the past days, the disruptions were much more severe.

The strikes are underway for several weeks now to protest against the government's pension reform plan. Not only public transport workers participate in the protests. This problem is mostly discussed on New year's eve when many French people leave for the holidays.
