Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the UK House of Lords, who is distinguished by her ardent pro-Armenian position, was accused of having links with anti-Islamic organizations and activists, Report informs.

After the leak of information about her financial ties with these institutions, the parliamentarian was forced to admit that she concealed financing from the non-profit organization Equal and Free Limited. Rules of Parliament require members of the House of Lords to disclose information about the support received from outside organizations.

Equal and Free Limited received funds from an American organization headquartered in Los Angeles, run by evangelical "philanthropists" Howard and Roberta Ahmanson, according to documents obtained by Sky News.

Among the documents leaked to the press are the minutes of the regular meetings that Baroness Cox convened in the parliamentary quarters, where prominent and often controversial critics of Islam were present.

The meeting minutes from 2015 characterized the Islamic religion as having "hostile intentions towards all who are not Muslims." Baroness Cox reportedly set the stage for far-right anti-Islamic activists to participate in government meetings.

The publication noted that members of the House of Lords, notably Baroness Cox, influence ministers, the parliament itself and the entire legislative system. In this regard, it is necessary to pay special attention to the transparency of financing of such persons.
