Prime Minister of Latvia Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) made good his promise from last week on August 17 and handed in his resignation - and the resignation of his government - to President Edgars Rinkevics at Riga Castle, Report informs, citing Eng.lsm.lv.
His current executive will continue in a caretaker capacity until a new government is formed and approved by Saeima vote, a process likely to take several weeks.
