President of Latvia: 'War in Ukraine is a global problem'

The war in Ukraine is a global problem, President of Latvia Egils Levits said at a meeting with students in Baku on March 9, Report informs.

Speaking about the global challenges that the world is currently facing, the President of Latvia noted that the situation in the world changed on February 24, 2022, with the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Levits noted that though the West had illusions about the Russian Federation, "Azerbaijan, like Latvia, knows Russia better because of the common past within the USSR."
