President of Chad expresses outrage over Macron's statements against Africa

President of the Republic of Chad Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno expressed outrage at French President Emmanuel Macron's attacks on African countries that were once French colonies, the Chadian portal Alwihda said, Report iforms via TASS.

"I wanted to express my outrage at President Emmanuel Macron's recent statements, which exude contempt for Africa and Africans," the portal quotes the president. "Frankly, I think he's got the wrong era."

Mahamat Idriss Deby responded to Macron's statement about Chad's and other French-speaking African countries' decision to end military cooperation with Paris. According to the French president, Africans made this decision in coordination with Paris but did not announce it publicly and "forgot to thank" for help in fighting terrorism.

"The decision to end military cooperation with France is entirely Chad's sovereign decision," emphasized Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno. "There is no room for any ambiguity here."
