COVID-19 has been discovered in Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Report informs, citing the president's website.
The test given yesterday was negative. However, the result of the next one was positive. Yet, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has no symptoms of the disease.
All planned events with his participation in the coming days have been canceled due to infection.
The next presidential election will be on January 24 in Portugal. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who recently turned 72, prepares to run again.
