Polish MiG-29 loses its fuel tank over populated area during training flight

The Polish MiG-29 fighter has lost its fuel tank during a training flight, which fell near residential buildings, Report informs referring to TASS.
“There was a loss of a fuel tank. The tank was empty and fell several hundred meters from [residential] buildings. No one was injured as a result of the incident [on the ground],” the main command of the Polish armed forces wrote on X.
According to open sources, the MiG-29 that lost its tank is assigned to the 22nd tactical aviation base in Malbork, where several other aircraft of this type are based.
In 2023, the Polish Air Force operated 22 MiG-29 fighters. Later, some of them were transferred to Ukraine.
