Polish farmers block movement of trucks from Ukraine at 5 checkpoints

The movement of trucks from Ukraine to Poland is completely blocked by farmers at five border checkpoints, Report informs referring to Ukrainian media.

Polish farmers continue to block five directions. If they still allow a certain number of cargo vehicles to pass towards Ukraine, then in all these directions they now do not allow cargo vehicles to pass towards Poland at all. The movement of cargo vehicles from Ukraine to Poland on these five directions are completely blocked.

The nationwide protest of farmers began on February 9. Farmers in Poland are protesting throughout the country, blocking roads and entrances to checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.

At border crossings, unknown persons have already spilled grain from Ukrainian trucks and railway cars several times. The main demands of the protesters are to stop the import of agricultural products from Ukraine into Poland and abandon the environmental plans of the European Union (the so-called Green Deal), which involves achieving zero emissions into the atmosphere by 2050.
