Poland to send more troops to its eastern borders

The Polish authorities will increase the number of troops on the country's eastern borders to assist the border guards, the Polish National Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said, Report informs.
“We will strengthen the presence of the Polish Army in Podlaskie, Lublin, Warmia-Masuria and Podkarpackie voivodeships, in all border voivodeships,” the PAP agency quoted the Polish defense minister. He emphasized that the army must be on the borders with the Russian Federation, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine to support the border service.
The minister announced that the country's government will allocate 1 billion zlotys (about $250 million) to create appropriate infrastructure for the deployment of military personnel in border areas.
