Poland will receive the first Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) purchased from Turkiye in October, Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Wojciech Skurkiewicz said on VNeT radio, Report informs citing TASS.
“Bayraktar UAVs will go into service with the Polish army in October,” he said.
In addition, already in the fourth quarter of this year, the Polish army will be equipped with Patriot missile defense/air defense systems, which will also become an important strengthening of missile and air defense, he said.
When asked about the supply of tanks, including US Abrams and South Korean K2 Black Panthers, he reminded that, according to agreements between the Polish and South Korean sides, the first deliveries should begin at the end of 2022.
“So, at the end of the year, this Korean equipment will undoubtedly be put into service with the Polish army,” he said.
