Poland to launch new operation to protect border with Belarus from August

Poland will launch a new special operation to protect the border with Belarus from August, the country's Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak- Kamysz said at a press conference, Report informs referring to local media.
“From August 1, there will be a new mission, two operations will be completed - training and border protection. There will be one mission, Safe Podlasie, in which up to 17,000 soldiers will take part,” he noted.
According to the minister, the army is ready to send additional forces and resources if necessary.
