Poland to introduce new restrictions due to worsening situation with COVID

Since the beginning of the year, Poland has reported a record number of COVID patients, Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski said, Report informs, referring to RIA Novosti.
He noted that in this regard, new restrictions would be announced on Feb. 24.
"We are moving towards restricting movement on Poland’s southern border due to the epidemic situation in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. We also want to prevent the use of scarves and plastic shields as substitutes for masks," the minister said.
He added that the government could again introduce distance learning for children from several regions and close hotels.
