Poland considers the current financing offer from the South Korean government for weapons and military equipment contracts to be unsatisfactory, according to Report.
During a press conference broadcast by TVP Info, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated, "There must be a good offer of co-financing or financial guarantees for us to accept it. So far, no such offer has been received [from the South Korean side]."
In July 2022, Warsaw and Seoul agreed on the delivery of 980 K2 tanks, 648 K9 self-propelled howitzers, and 48 FA-50 light aircraft of South Korean production. A contract was also signed for the supply of 288 K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher systems. The total value of the deals reaches $12.4 billion.
