Pezeshkian: People of Iran did not start war against Israel and did not want it

The people of Iran did not start the war and did not want it, but now must stand united against Israel’s aggression, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said, according to Report.

“We did not seek war and we did not start the war. It was not us who killed the country’s senior military officials and scientists — the terrorists did this,” said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in a speech before parliament.

According to Iranian media, Pezeshkian noted that Iran is not the aggressor:

“We need unity and solidarity today more than ever, and the entire Iranian nation must come together and firmly stand against this aggression.”

Pezeshkian also emphasized that Iran does not seek to possess nuclear weapons.

The president once again emphasized that the United States, in violation of all norms of international law, had allowed Israel to launch an attack on Iran.
